Why Take Acting Classes?

Why do we offer and attend acting classes? Well, for one reason they are fun! :) Another, and more important reason is that it develops and actors technique. What exactly do I mean by technique and why is it important? Well, read on!

Technique is the foundation of all acting. It is your focus on stage, your concentration, your ability to fulfill the age old adage: "The Show Must Go On!"

There comes a time in every actors life where it is hard to do a particular show, for whatever reason. You may be tired, the audience may be unresponsive - any number of things.

It is during those times when you are not living in the moment that you have to fall back onto your technique to get you through. When you don't feel it, you have to be able to still be believable.

A solid foundation in objectives, motivation, all the things you learn in acting class will come to your rescue.
